Symbolism of structures | Freedom of interpretation
I feel extremely comfortable in abstract art. In the creative process, it allows me to transcend inner boundaries and dive into a world full of silence and emotion.
Especially working with structures on canvas gives me a great opportunity to transport the intention of my works to the outside. In this article I would like to share with you the deep meaning and personal symbolism of my cracked structures, which represents for me both, freedom and the breaking free from externally determined beliefs.

THE SYMBOLISM OF CRACKED STRUCTURES
- from an artist's perspective -
For me, cracked structures represent not only freedom, but also the inner breakout from old patterns and the exploration of new paths. When the structures slowly crack during the drying process, I feel a sense of liberation from inner restrictions and blockages. It reminds me of being brave enough to break free from old beliefs and expectations and go my own way.
I perceive the whole creative process as a symbol of this liberating breakthrough, I can breathe more freely and the most primal needs get space to break out. The later pattern of the cracks is unpredictable, just as changes in life always bring new and unexpected options. Sometimes the right direction is quite clear and recognizable, but often it is only a very soft impulse or a still very fine line with unpolished corners and edges that hold challenges.
THE FREEDOM OF INTERPRETATION
- From a Viewer's perspective -
My cracked structures on canvas should consciously invite the viewer to explore his or her own interpretations and associations. In addition to the colors, the cracking can always evoke new insights and emotions that are closely tied to personal experiences and beliefs.
The cracked structures on my works can have an individual meaning for each person, for example, liberation from societal constraints and expectations, from personal obstacles and inner conflicts, or from the feeling of foreign domination in order to live one's own potential.
But above all, I would like to inspire people to recognize their own needs, which too often get stuck in a waiting loop.
It is an invitation to realize that there are many different ways to be the best version of oneself, to find inner balance as well as satisfaction. Because as individual and unique as the emerging structural patterns are, so are our learning processes, personalities and needs, which need space and room to grow, so as not to be suffocated under external determination.

In summary,
by using cracked structures I am able to bring a deeper emotional level into my abstract artworks.. The cracks on the canvas allow me to give voice to inner needs, making them more visible. The random factor in the drying process of the structures allows me to break free from rigid beliefs and use the impulse of courage to follow my needs in a self-determined way.
